Danielle joined the Padilla team in 2006. Since then she has supported a number of food accounts including the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council, Consorzio del Prosciutto di Parma, B&W Watercress Growers, Maple from Canada and Pomi. With a deep understanding of how to properly manage and implement programs funded by the European Union, she has also led a number of campaigns designed to raise awareness about the EU’s PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) system in the U.S. From 2011 – 2017, Danielle managed an EU campaign titled, “Legends from Europe,” which helped to promote Prosciutto di Parma, Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto di San Daniele, Grana Padano and Montasio. After the first program phase ended in February 2014, Danielle led the Legends team in proposing a three-year continuation which was accepted by the EU and received the most funding of all 20 agricultural products promotion programs awarded during that cycle. At the start of 2019, Danielle began overseeing a new program called “Icons of European Taste”, supporting the producers of Prosciutto di San Daniele, Grana Padano and Prosciutto di Parma. She has a strong passion for Italian products and also leads the agency’s New York office test kitchen in developing recipe content and photography for multiple clients.
After receiving her Bachelor’s degree from Sacred Heart University, Danielle received her culinary degree from the Institute of Culinary Education. She then interned for Food & Wine magazine in their editorial department where she helped in the test kitchen. Prior to joining the Padilla team in 2006, she worked for a small restaurant PR agency in New York City, which fueled her passion for food marketing and public relations. Danielle has almost 15 years’ experience in the food industry.
